In December, Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling announced that the very first Modern Warfare 3 DLC will be arriving for Call of Duty: Elite Xbox Premium subscribers on January 24th.
Today he revealed the first 2 new multiplayer maps of the DLC are going to be Piazza and Liberation. Non premium members and players on PC and PS3 will need to await further word on their release dates.
Here are the descriptions of the 2 new maps from Activision:
- Liberation is a vast, militarized landscape, ripe for long-range sniper and LMG fire, with mounted turrets on either end that lend power to anyone brave enough to expose themselves in exchange for deadly firepower.
- Piazza is the idyllic Italian getaway that is anything but, where tight corners and branching pathways pose great risk at every turn. Close-range combat dominates in Piazza, where attacks from behind, above and below are an ever-constant threat.
