It’s confirmed Quick Scope is back for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

it's confirmed mw3 will have quick-scoping

There has been much speculation if quick-scoping will be back for MW3. It was just recently confirmed by Robert Bowling, creative strategist at Infinity Ward for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. On his recent MW3 Q&A session he had the following answer for will there be quick-scoping in MW3?

“Currently, you can still quick scope in Modern Warfare 3. Keep in mind though, multiplayer is always changing at this stage (new perks, new balancing, new everything all the time based on feedback), however our philosophy on that hasn't changed since MW2”

He does confirm its return; however it’s unclear in what form or its effectiveness.

If you've been playing modern warfare 2, then it is likely that you have witnessed a quick scope. A quick scope utilizes a sniper rifle (intervention or .50 cal) to kill someone at close to midrange. The usually way to kill someone with a sniper rifle is to look down the scope, and wait for targets to enter your crosshairs. Quick scoping, on the other hand, does not require the need to look down the scoop. The snipers will typically run around, with the sniper in hand, an attempt to kill you without looking down the scope. By hitting the scope button it thinks you’re looking down the scope even though you are not and it takes away the bullet spread so you won’t miss at closer ranges.

To set you your class for quick scope you will need the following:

Primary Weapon: Barret .50 Cal or Intervention

Perk 1: Sleight Of Hand Pro

Perk 2: Stopping Power Pro

Perk 3: Steady Aim Pro

Although it will be a different set up for Modern Warfare 3 as it was confirmed that stopping power will not make a return in MW3. Will have all the details on Quick Scope as it becomes available.

You can also use Commando or Ninja. More people prefer Commando(Which, of course, will not be in MW3 D:).

I hate quick scope and even more snipers, will haunt you all down in MW3

i'm sure it will be much different then in MW2, hope it will still work great

  4. Typically the only arguments that people use against quickscopers is: "You can't do that in real life" or something along those lines. Therefore implying that they want realism. If they really want realism, they might as well watch a documentary or even look out their window…. Furthermore, people who complain about getting quickscoped also state that a sniper rifle should sit back, in a bush or something, with his/her scope all lined up and wait for someone to get in their crosshair. Which then leads to the "what a camper" and the "what a hardscoper" argument. Whichever way you look at it, It's just the matter of, how do you want me to kill you? :)

I hate quickscopers, they make the game not fun. First Allen, technically you can do that in real life but it gives snipers a large advantage over the other weapons and thats why it shouldn't be allowed. When I play MW2 there are so many small levels where the majority of people are snipers quickscoping. That shouldn't be the case. People complain about camping and noob tubing which I feel is perfectly fine. You dont like noobs, use blast shield, if you dont like campers, stop running down the same hallway getting killed 7 times in a row, if you dont like quickscopers theres nothing you can do about it. Thats why its not fair.

im not one to complain much but this has gotten ridiculous i cant play a single match without being quick scoped constantly i love call of duty but this garbage is going to be the end of my cod days
