Activision has rejected claims it misinformed Modern Warfare 3 gamers concerning the advantages of Call of Duty Elite on PS3, declaring gamers convinced themselves that purchasing the premium service will in some way eliminate the DLC exclusivity agreement with Microsoft and allow the DLC content to launch simultaneously for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Activision blogger Dam Amrich described that Microsoft features a deal with Activision whereby the Xbox 360 receives Call of Duty DLC ahead of the PS3. Call of Duty Elite will not bypass this partnership.
Early PS3 DLC "was never one of the things listed in the official benefits chart; it was never promised by any representative of Activision, Call of Duty, Elite, or its developers. Honestly? I think gamers just convinced themselves that it would happen because they wanted it to happen. That makes sense, but it doesn’t make it true," said Amrich.
The Xbox 360 exclusivity deal continues to be valid 'till the end of 2012, and all Call of Duty DLC will show up initially on Xbox 360 until then.
Activision states that the Elite subscription offers gamers with a more affordable means of acquiring all the DLC, with the advantage of accessing this content prior to non-subscribers on your specific platform.
Have you purchased Elite premium subscription convinced that you're going to get access to MW3 DLC first together with Xbox 360?

I understand the "partnership", but it's still kind of stupid. Tells me that Activision prefers Microsoft over Sony. Oh well… I shall wait patiently for the DLC on PS3.
it should be the people with elite get it at the same time and the people that dont have elite on 360 get it before ps3
Answer to question: Not at all. If XBL was free, then I would have definetely have purchased MW3 on 360, but I am an on and off online gamer, so paying for XBL in addition to Call of Duty Elite is not something I'd want to do. I got elite on PS3 so i could get all the map packs at a better price, with a little bit of the online service perks as well. I personally don't think exclusive DLC helps Xbox 360 sales. I think it does so well on Xbox 360 is because of many gamers who own a 360 like FPS games. I think 360 is wasting their money with it, and should perhaps try to make exclusive game deals rather than DLC to encourage people to buy their system
